Terms of use

Last updated: 2026-08-24

In short: use the pages freely, for private or commercial purposes, and link to them. Do not download the collection wholesale and do not republish it as your own. There is no warranty, and liability is limited as set out in the disclaimer.

1. Scope

These terms govern your use of OrphanSpec at https://orphanspec.com. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Every page shows a short notice about the limits of the data, with a button reading I understand and accept. Pressing it records, on your own device only, that you have seen the notice, so that it can be shown in a shortened form afterwards. It is a confirmation that you were informed. It is not a separate contract, it grants no additional rights and imposes no additional obligations, and the terms below apply whether you press it or not.

2. What you may do

No fee is charged and no registration is required.

3. What you may not do

4. Availability

The site is offered as it stands. There is no entitlement to its availability, to any particular content remaining online, or to the site continuing to exist. Pages are added, corrected and removed without notice — in particular, a figure that turns out to be unreliable is removed rather than left standing.

5. Warranty and liability

The content carries no warranty, and liability is limited as set out in sections 2 and 3 of the disclaimer, which forms part of these terms. In particular, nothing here is a fitment guarantee: check every part number against your own machine before ordering.

6. Security

If you find a security problem with this site, please report it to contact@orphanspec.com before making it public. Reports made in good faith will not be met with legal action. There is no bug bounty; there is a genuine thank-you and a prompt fix.

7. Changes to these terms

These terms may be amended, for example if the site gains new functions or if commission links are introduced. The current version is always the one on this page, with the date at the top. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the amended terms; there is no address on file through which to notify you.

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country. Where you are a business, the place of jurisdiction is the site owner’s place of business, to the extent legally permissible.

9. Severability

If any provision of these terms is or becomes invalid, the remainder is unaffected. The invalid provision is replaced by the statutory rule that comes closest to its economic purpose.

10. Contact

Questions about these terms: contact@orphanspec.com. Postal address in the legal notice.
